19 October 1976, St Johns Worsthorne. The clocks went back to the days of sundials and the gladiators in Worsthorne on Saturday when the village s Young Wives Group held a Roman evening. The fancy dress dance was held in St John’s Rooms and was attended by about 60 members and friends, most of them in Roman dress.
