Description
Thought to have been built in the 1680s the white cottages with thatched roofs and the cobbled causeway of Mill Street Preesall were lost forever in 1934 when council dwellings were built in their place. The lane was named because it was one of two approaches to the old peg mill which blew down in 1840. Fleetwood s Charity School was built on the site of the mill. Published EG 14 04 1962 Preesall
