Castle Mills by River Nidd at Knareborough surounded in Autumnal colour. A former flax mill, Castle Mills was built in 1764 and produced fine quality linen from rom 1770 to 1972. It was granted the Royal Warrant by Queen Victoria as “suppliers to all the Royal Palacesâ€. The grade II listed building was a cotton mill, built on the site of a paper mill, which eventually became a flax-spinning
