Rev Canon Christopher Barley led a service to remember those who served on HMS Kingston Jacinth and lost their lives on 12th January 1943 in service, at St Margaret's Church, Swinton.. During the service, the ship's plaque was unveiled in the Lady Chapel of St Margaret's.
