A service to remember those who served on HMS Kingston Jacinth and lost their lives on 12th January 1943 in service, was held at St Margaret's Church at Swinton. During the service, the ship's plaque was unveiled in the Lady Chapel of St Margaret's. Speaking at the event was Ken Wyatt of Swinton Heritage Society.
