Balmer's Bakery in Murray street where a long queue had formed as people waited patiently for their loaves during the bread strike. We think this picture dates from 1974 unless and Memory Lane readers can be more precise. Todays picture shows that the bakery has long since disappeared to be replaced by a variety of shops.
