Description
The Painted Chamber in Calverley Old Hall, a medieval manor house on the outskirts of Leeds which has been restored as a holiday let in a project costing £5.1m by the building conservation charity The Landmark Trust. During the work, which began in 2021 on the Grade I-listed building mid 16th century wall paintings were discovered on wood and gypsum panals. Photograph by Tony Johnson. 9th Octob
