Description
Picture Post - Stranded small fishing boats stuck in the mud as the low tide retreats from the safety of Scarborugh's habour, a place back in the 19th century, that was one of the principal ship building centres on the East Coast. From 1785 to 1810, 209 ships were built with a tonnage of 35,683 tons and it's believed that as many as 15 ships were once launched in a year. Picture By Yorkshire Pos
