Pictured is: Sidney Cornell of North End, Portsmouth. A member of the 7th Battalion of the Parachute Regiment. Sidney was a runner for the the regiment, a dangerous job that saw him injured 4 times and not evacuated. He was later awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal.
