WIGAN - 14-09-22 A short ceremony was held at Jubilee Park, Ashton-in-Makerfield, to dedicate a memorial bench in tribute to Mary O Shaughnessy, born in Ashton-in-Makerfield in 1898, she saved the lives of RAF aircrew in occupied France, survived Ravensbruck Concentration Camp and an honorary member of RAF Escaping Society.
