The Whitby dredger Sandsend passing Whitby Harbour s East Pier Lighthouse as it returns to the harbour to carry on removing the excess silt build up before off loading out in the North Sea. The ‘Sandsend’ was converted from a dumb barge in 2003. The excavating pontoon was the first of its kind and had an extensive modification in 2016. A
