30 September 2016. . . . . . . Unveiling by Maureen Lipman of the Amy Johnson bronze statue by Stephen Melton. The statue has been commissioned by Keepmoat to stand proudly in the heart of the new housing development off Hawthorn Avenue, only a little distance away from Amy’s birthplace and close to where she spent her early years.
