Pictured in 1985, Thornton Police Station was built in 1903 and was the focus of law and order in the town until Cleveleys Police Station was upgraded in 1992. The building, which was reputed to have a ghost called Fred was replaced by the apartments of Counsell Court in 1999 dated 10 10 1985 Published EG 31 10 1985, Eg 12 01 1991
