Description
A weighty problem for Father Francis Ripley, parish priest at St. Oswald s RC Church in Ashton. Oswald, a 4 year old goat, was employed to keep the graveyard grass trimmed but got too fat to fit between the gravestones and it was feared that he might topple them over and so had to go on a diet before being allowed to continue his grazing work in June 1975.
