Monday 3rd of July 2017: Philip Gregory with a pair of rare silver mounted pistols. The pistols, dating from 1790 and valued between £20,000 and £30,000, will go under the hammer on Wednesday. Lyon & Turnbull. They belonged to General Sir David Baird 1757-1829 of Newbyth, Haddington. He joined the army in 1772 at the age of 15 and served in the 73rd 71st Highlanders.
