Whitby, 5th September 1964 The crew of the Whitby fishing coble Connie sets out from Whitby harbour. A group of miners from Castleford clubbed together to buy the 27ft, 4 and a half ton Connie. We paid £67 each said Mr. John Harrison, a miner of Arnside Crescent, Ferry Fryston. Thomas Harrison, their cousins Mr. Alfred Ball and his brother Alan Ball.
