Description
Picture by JANE BARLOW. 6th December 2013. She-Ra, the pygmy marmoset, has become the proud mother of twins at Edinburgh Zoo. Pygmy marmosets are one of the smallest species of monkey in the world and are native to the Amazon region. At only three weeks old, the duo are roughly the size of a golf ball and still spend much of their time sleeping. Pictured is the new mother with one of the babies.
