8th January 2013 PICTURE POST. Pictured the giant anchor on Tate Hill Pier Whitby, with Whitby old town in the background. The ancient timber stock anchor was brought up in the nets of M FV Ocean Venture of Whitby from an area off Maw Wyke on Nov 19th 1981 and presented to the town by hwe skipper Mr J Hebden and crew.
