Description
The days when trams ran along Clifton Street ended, after 40 years, in 1937. On the right a shop sign reads We Shall Have Rain , presumably what appears to be garments hanging outside are raincoats. On the left, on one corner of Pleasant Street is the Ship and Royal Hotel, which is still there today, whilst on the opposite corner the shop selling antiques is now a charity shop. undated early 1
