Description
Brigadier David MacQueen of Scottish Command talks to artist Aleksander Zyw at the Exhibition of War Drawings in the French Institute Edinburgh in 1965. Born in Poland in 1905, Zyw studied art in Warsaw from 1926 to 1932 before settling in Paris in 1934. He joined the Polish army during World War Two and went to Britain. Living in Edinburgh, he worked as an abstract painter, and died in 1995.
