King s Own Scottish Borderers regiment s helicopters fly over the Royal Mile on their way to Holyrood Park for their drum head colours ceremony in Edinburgh, March 1989. Picture was taken to mark the tricentenary of the regiment, founded in 1689 to protect Edinburgh from the Jacobites.
