Description
Relatives of the Piper Alpha victims hold a demonstration before the start of the official inquiry in Aberdeen, January 1989. In the world s worst oil rig disaster, 167 people were killed when Occidental Petroleum s Piper Alpha North Sea oil platform exploded after a gas leak in July 1988.
