The weathercock is restored and returned to it s traditional perch on the spire of St Giles Cathedral on August 5 1982. Workmen are pictured returning the weathercock, which had been regilded as part of the St Giles renovations. OLD PHOTOGRAPH TAKEN FROM THE LIBRARY FOR EDINBURGH EYE.
