You might be forgiven, when driving north along the A 19 to Thirsk, for taking your eyes off the road to glimpse at the mighty White Horse at Kilburn. In the direction of the famous hillside carving is Thirkleby church , All Saints. The church is set in a field outside the village and is overlooked by its more tourist attractive neighbour.
