PICTURE POST 18 9 08 The Historic ancient Church of the Holy Cross at Gilling East near Helmsley is framed in the lych gate which bears a memorial to local men who gave their lives in the Great War 1914-19. The oldest part of the church is part ofr the Nave dating from the 11th century with later additions in the 12th, 14th, 16th , 19th and 20th centuries. Picture taken on a Nikon D2Xs
