Memory Lane Then and Now This photograph, dated 30 11 1988 of Raikes Hill off Church Street, Blackpool was taken when there were plans to redevelope the area. This terrace of houses backed onto and was owned by Marks Furniture Warehouse on Cookson Street. These houses have now been demolished, the white building at the end was once Raikes Smithy, the house across the road from the smithy still
