York, 8th October 1963 A 3,300 horse power Deltic diesel electric locomotive was named The Prince of Wales s Own Regiment of Yorkshire at York Station today. The ceremony was performed by Brigadier G. H. Cree, Colonel of the regiment, on Platform 8 South. Brigadier Cree unvels the name plate on the locomotive. With him is Mr. G.
