Description
Born in Poland in 1905, Aleksander Zyw studied art in Warsaw from 1926 to 1932 before settling in Paris in 1934. He joined the Polish army during World War Two and went to Britain. Living in the Dean Village Edinburgh, he worked as an abstract painter, and died in 1995. Picture taken June 1986.
