Description
On the 22nd May 1915, a Royal Scots troop train and express train collided at Quintinshill near Gretna. 210 men, most of whom were recruited from Edinburgh and Leith, lost their lives and many were buried in Rosebank cemetery at Pilrig, where there is a monument, plaque and roll call of the victims.
