An old hut served as a bothan, an unlicensed and illegal drinking place, in Ness on the island of Lewis. Islanders wrote HANDS OFF EOROPIE BOTHAN NO SURRENDER on the side and resisted its closure in October 1977. Skol lager can in foreground.
